Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators

As a studio and freelance artist, I have duplicated different illustrator's styles. Since my passion is watercolor painting, I'm compelled to utilize this "difficult" medium as my own unique style. The unrestricted, yet semi-controlled approach, is eye catching. So why not explore a painterly visual for a commercial applacation? Some of my paintings have been used as is, or digitaly addjusted. Abstract splashes have become annual report covers or designed into print ad spots. An art director recently provided a photo and asked if I could give it some soul and make it "look like one of your watercolors". My response, "Sure I can, that's what I do".
