Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators

Jim Mariano (Jas) is a multimedia artist, animator and illustrator. Hailing from north eastern Ohio, he spent time in Scottsdale Az, Chicago Il, and now resides in Pittsburgh. He was raised on a steady diet of monster movies, Three Stooges, and Tex Avery cartoons -- three influences whose humor permeates his work. Aside from his award winning animation his artwork has been exhibited nationwide. He enjoys making sarcastic remarks and jokes at the expense of others, and is not above poking an adversary in the eye a la Moe. He loves coffee.
