Audra Azoury

Audra Azoury-Sommer is a Pittsburgh-born and raised graphic designer, illustrator, and maker. A graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, she draws inspiration from her city’s industrial heritage—designing with the very material that built it: American-made steel. Her ornaments and jewelry serve as small tokens of the places and adventures we hold dear—tiny, lasting reminders of where we’ve been and what we love.

Using subtlety and minimalistic shapes, Audra interprets Pittsburgh’s most recognizable landmarks, bridges, and trusses into distinctive designs that are crafted into charms and ornaments. Her work also reflects her love for America’s treasured landscapes, with collections inspired by National Parks, memorials, monuments, seashores, and other iconic destinations.

Audra’s designs can be found in local shops, as well as in museum and National Park stores across the country. As a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists (PSA), her My America pieces draw from her family’s Pittsburgh heritage, tracing the journey of three generations of German immigrants and their enduring entrepreneurial spirit. In addition to her design work, Audra is the illustrator and author of two self-published children’s books, available in local shops and online at www.audraazoury.com.
