Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators

I am a watercolor illustrator and writer, creating sweet, charming stories brought to life with a soft color palette. My work evokes the warmth and nostalgia of classic, family centered picture book stories. I hold an AS in Commercial Art, a BA in Art Education, and an MAT in Advanced Secondary Education. Professionally, I’ve worked as both a commercial artist and an art teacher, with a special focus on supporting students with special needs. These experiences deeply inform the heart with empathy which I bring to my storytelling.I’m a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators, SCBWI, and the 12 x 12 Picture Book Challenge. When I am not painting or writing, I am usually in the company of husband, children, and growing number of grandchildren.
