Olga Brindar

Olga Brindar was born in St. Petersburg, Russia; she was raised and formally educated in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University. A bicultural product of her international upbringing and an avid student of world travel, Olga's unique perspective into the visual world is evidenced in her work. Subject matter is largely comprised of friends, family, and strangers, interwoven with animal totems and floral symbolism. Recently, Olga has created a series of drawings and painting that explore her experience of motherhood. She has also illustrated a children's book written by a dear friend and creative partner, and both are working on getting it published. She is also illustrating a friend's young adult fantasy novel, and working on her own project, completing an illustrated Russian alphabet book.
