Kurt's artwork is a result of life long opportunities and intriguing experiences resulting in a distinctive artistic style and trained business acumen. Early in his career he worked as a finisher at a bronze foundry producing lost wax sculptures. After attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh he worked again at a different foundry. This time as a sculptor creating, among many other bronze pieces, several bas-relief portraits of the inductees to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Next on the life journey was twenty years managing and growing a successful advertising and design studio. During that time he created thousands of illustrations and portraits for leading individuals, universities and companies such as Kennametal and GNC. He is proficient in a number of creative disciplines and learned computer illustration early in it’s development. Digital art is his choice of medium to this day. His broad illustrative styles range from technical and 3D to portrait, editorial, food and medical illustration.
His clients consist of a wide-ranging mix like Dads Pet Care and Matthews International and award winning advertising agencies such as Blattner Brunner.
His work appears in a myriad of various promotional materials, and on consumer packaging such as Daily's Fruit Mixes and Musselman's Apple Sauces of Knouse Foods.
