Yelena
was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. She graduated
from Roerich Art College, and began working
as a freelance artist. In 1995, Yelena and her
family moved to Pittsburgh. She currently works
as a graphic designer for a company Downtown,
and paints portraits and still lives in her
home studio. Yelena’s illustrations of
Pittsburgh neighborhoods are part of a map display
in the lobby of the Heinz History Center in
Pittsburgh. Her portraits were commissioned
by numerous clients in the US and overseas.
