Pittsburgh RECAST: Pittsburgh Society of Illustrator's 10th Anniversary Exhibit
hosted by the Senator John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center Galleries from November '07 through at least March '08

The exhibit will document the stories in and of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This American city is steeped in history and is forging ahead, poised to redefine and reinvent itself. The exhibit as a whole, is a combined effort of multiple perceptions and is intended to weave Pittsburgh's tapestry of transition over time. It will imagine a future Pittsburgh. It will consider the legacy of individual and institutional contributions as well as the intervening detours, shifting plateaus, and overturned hierarchies that have inaugurated change. Members represented in Shenzhen, China

Sarah KoljonenPSI was recently asked to be a represented in an international illustration exhibition in Shenzhen, China. With little time to prepare, many members came together and offered digital images that we had printed and mounted, then shipped overseas. The exhibition was housed from May 15-21, 2007 in the respected Guanshanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen.

PSI was was lucky enough to have one of our members, Sarah Koljonen, in Hong Kong at this time. Sarah made the short trip to Shenzhen to make a record of this exhibit. Click here for Sarah's description of the exhibit and links to images!
